Installation of helical piles for existing residence

Construction Description: 

Rocky Mountain Steel Piering was contracted by the homeowner to install helical piles on the northwest corner of the residence due to foundation settlement.  The existing foundation was constructed during the 1920’s and consisted of rock and rubble.  Over time the foundation has seen moisture intrusion and caused foundation settlement. 

The plan of repair designed by a licensed engineer was to install 6 helical underpinning piles with steel angle supports between them to support the rock and rubble. 

Materials Used:

MacLean/Dixie HFS helical piles were installed to depths of 25-30 feet.
